Mill Avenue District
The Mill Avenue District is one of the most visited and exciting downtown areas in the easy to access Arizona state. Bounded by College Avenue to the east, Ash Avenue to the west, University Drive to the south and Rio Salado Parkway to the north, the downtown area is a dynamic, vibrant locale that features entertainment, restaurants, shopping and sporting events. The exceptional access Arizona features allow you to experience brick sidewalks, open-air cafes, and an incredible number of local and national special events year-round.
A minimum clearance of six feet is maintained on Mill Avenue District sidewalks, and accessible ramps exist at all intersections. Each of the major intersections is signalized. In nearly all cases, access to businesses and stores is from street level, with no stairs or steps up or down to Mill Avenue and downtown establishments. In addition, the transit system is ADA compliant. Every bus serving the access Arizona downtown area is equipped with ramps which are functional at all transit facilities.
